ANN: Presentation of the Project “Digital Benin” (in English), (DZK & CARMAH / online, 11 Oct 2021, 6pm CEST)

Digital Benin (digital-benin.org) will digitally unite the globally dispersed works of art from the Kingdom of Benin and as an unparalleled forum of knowledge, it will bring together object data and related documentation material from collections worldwide and provide the long-requested overview of the royal artworks looted in the 19th century on an online platform.

Dr. Anne Luther, Director of the Institute for Digital Heritage and Principal Investigator, and Osaisonor Godfrey Ekhator-Obogie, Research Fellow at the Institute for Benin Studies and Research Lead in Benin City, will present the project and give historical contextualization for the objects.
