ANN: Registration is open for the Talking Galleries 7th edition Barcelona Symposium: January 21-22, 2019

Talking Galleries is proud to announce its 7th Barcelona Symposium to take place on January 21-22, 2019, at the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA).

The Barcelona Symposium is a two-day conference, a unique place for the prominent art world figures to debate and reflect on various aspects of art gallery management. Adam Sheffer, former President of ADAA and Vice president of Pace Gallery, described it as ‘a sort of the Davos of the art world, when people can get together globally and talk about issues facing the entire industry.’

The 7th edition programme will address some of the most relevant issues, such as women artists on the art market, strategies for going online, Africa’s growing art market, new players on traditional publishing market and creative use of Social Media, among other topics. We are working to finalise the full programme and will announce it shortly on our website. Among this year’s participating speakers, we are proud to count with Emmanuel Perrotin (Perrotin), Vanessa Carlos (Carlos/Ishikawa), Elizabeth Dee (Independent), Touria El Glaoui (1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair), JiaJia Fei (The Jewish Museum), Clare McAndrew (Arts Economics), Alison McDonald (Gagosian), Jane Morris (Cultureshock Media), Simon de Pury (de Pury), Kenny Schachter (artnet), Lisa Schiff (SFA), Tim Schneider (artnet), Georgina Adam (The Art Newspaper), and Melanie Gerlis (Financial Times), to name just a few.

The registration for the Symposium is open! For the members of TIAMSA we have a special offer: you can benefit from Early Bird discount for a longer time, until 31 December 2019.
