About this event
Graduate Student Study Day on Women Art Dealers
Description: Join NYU’s Grey Art Museum for a study day on women art dealers and the art market inspired by our current exhibition, “Berthe Weill: Art Dealer of the Parisian Avant-Garde.” This day is designed for local graduate students, and will include students from different programs including FIT’s MA Program in Art Market Studies, NYU’s Visual Art Administration MA Program, and others.
Students will be in exchange with Grey staff, local curators, faculty, and art market experts. Topics will include subjects such as women dealers and their impact on the art market, as well as more practical, behind-the-scenes discussions about the curatorial, collections, and financial considerations in putting together a complex exhibition project like “Berthe Weill.”
Students are highly encouraged to attend all sessions, however, if you are unable to do so, please only reserve tickets for sessions you know you will be attending. Due to limited capacity, if you are no longer able to attend a session, please contact us at greyartmuseum@nyu.edu
