The Argentine Center for Art Researchers (CAIA) convenes the IV Meeting of Young Researchers in Theory and History of the Arts. The event will take place on October 17, 18 and 19, 2018 in the autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
Among the objectives of the CAIA is the promotion, dissemination and circulation of research in the arts. In keeping with these purposes, the call is aimed at researchers in training, with undergraduate degrees in course or completed, master’s and doctoral students who are currently studying their postgraduate studies. The Encuentro is proposed as a space for critical debate for individual or group research, inserted at the same time in the broadest debates in the history of the arts, their theories and their methods.

Details
1. The proposals for papers will be sent in a summary (abstract) in Word format until June 1, 2018 to the following e-mail: jornadascaia@gmail.com. Each summary must have an extension of between 4500 and 5000 characters with spaces; This should contain the title and name of the author of the paper and should include: main guidelines of work, thematic relevance, objectives, hypotheses and sources to work. Apart must be attached: institutional membership of the author, a brief curricular presentation of no more than 5 lines, the subject area in which your proposal is registered and a bibliography of up to 10 titles (the extension of 4500 to 5000 characters corresponds only to the summary) . Group work of up to two members will be accepted. Only one summary will be received per person or group.
2. The proposals will be examined by a Selection Committee made up of CAIA members and specialists in the field. The Committee will select the proposals based on the criteria of quality and relevance to the themes.
3. The Selection Committee will announce the works accepted as of the last week of June 2018. Its decision will be unappealable. The CAIA will publish prior to the meeting the summaries of the selected papers on its website: www.caia.org.ar
4. The full presentation to be presented at the meeting (whose exhibition should have a maximum duration of 15 minutes and a suggested extension of 7 double-spaced pages) will be received by mail until September 14, 2018. There will be equipment for the projection of multimedia presentations.

El Centro Argentino de Investigadores de Arte (CAIA) convoca al IV Encuentro de Jóvenes Investigadores en Teoría e Historia de las Artes. El evento tendrá lugar los días 17, 18 y 19 de octubre de 2018 en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.
Entre los objetivos del CAIA se encuentra la promoción, difusión y circulación de la investigación en artes. En consonancia con esos propósitos, la convocatoria está dirigida a investigadores en formación, con licenciaturas en curso o concluidas, maestrandos y doctorandos que cursen actualmente sus estudios de posgrado. El Encuentro se propone como un espacio de debate crítico para sus pesquisas individuales o grupales, insertas a la vez en los debates más amplios de la historia de las artes, sus teorías y sus métodos.

BASES
1. Las propuestas de ponencias serán enviadas en un resumen (abstract) en formato Word hasta el día 01 de junio de 2018 al siguiente e-mail: jornadascaia@gmail.com. Cada resumen deberá tener una extensión de entre 4500 y 5000 caracteres con espacios; éste deberá contener el título y nombre del autor de la ponencia y deberá consignar: principales lineamientos del trabajo, pertinencia temática, objetivos, hipótesis y fuentes a trabajar. Aparte deberá adjuntarse: pertenencia institucional del autor, una breve presentación curricular de no más de 5 líneas, el área temática en la que se inscribe su propuesta y una bibliografía de hasta 10 títulos (la extensión de 4500 a 5000 caracteres corresponde únicamente al resumen). Se aceptarán trabajos grupales de hasta dos integrantes. Se recibirá exclusivamente un resumen por persona o grupo.
2. Las propuestas serán examinadas por un Comité de Selección integrado por miembros del CAIA y especialistas en la materia. El Comité seleccionará las propuestas en base a los criterios de calidad y pertinencia a las temáticas.
3. El Comité de Selección dará a conocer los trabajos aceptados a partir de la última semana de junio de 2018. Su decisión será inapelable. El CAIA publicará con anterioridad al encuentro los resúmenes de las ponencias seleccionadas en su página web: www.caia.org.ar
4. La ponencia completa a presentar en el encuentro (cuya exposición deberá tener una duración máxima de 15 minutos y una extensión sugerida de 7 carillas a doble espacio) será recibida por mail hasta el 14 de septiembre de 2018. Se contará con equipo para la proyección de presentaciones multimedia.
