CONF: Collecting impressionism (online / Universities Paris Nanterre and Rouen Normandy, 9-13 Nov 2020)

Collecting impressionism
Online / Universities Paris Nanterre and Rouen Normandy, 9-13 November 2020.

The goal of the symposium “Collecting impressionism”, organized by the Paris Nanterre and Rouen Normandy universities, is to focus on the collector and his collection in the context of his time and the political, social and economic environment, and to do so on an international scale.

The presentations, keynotes and panel discussions will address highlights in the life of a collection – acquisition, management, presentation and transmission, using original multidisciplinary approaches on a variety of scales.

The symposium will be held online from November 9 to 13, 2020 in a totally new digital format. It will take place in two parts and will be totally bilingual:

• Between November 9 and 12, pre-recorded videos of the speakers will be shown in each session and freely accessible on the symposium’s official website http://impressionnisme-recherche.net
A discussion forum will be opened up for each session to launch the academic debate.
• On Friday, November 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m, four live panel discussions will follow, remotely bringing together the chairpersons and speakers for each session. A chat will be set up to compile participants’ questions.

To receive all information about the event and the link to follow the live on November, 13, please register on http://impressionnisme-recherche.net/inscription-colloque.
