CONF: Fait à Paris – Furniture Creations by Jean-Pierre Latz at the Dresden court (Stadtmuseum Dresden – 17-19 Nov 2024)

This symposium concludes the research and restoration project of the Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts) on the furniture collection of the ebenist Jean-Pierre Latz. Accompanying the special exhibition “Fait à Paris: Furniture Creations by Jean-Pierre Latz at the Dresden Court”, the symposium that will be held from November 17th to 19th 2024 in Dresden invites participants to exchange and discuss the research results.

The conference will present and contextualize the results of the research project, along with workshop reports on various restorations. In addition to the conservators and art historians involved in the project, international experts will provide further insights into the collection from various perspectives.

The lectures will be held in German, French and Italian, pre-translated and subtitled online in English.
