The Center for Art Law

The Center for Art Law is a Brooklyn-based research and education nonprofit which provides resources, insights, and training for people interested in the intersection of visual arts and law. To that end, the Center operates in three capacities: through their website www.itsartlaw.org where scholarship articles are published and relevant resources are aggregated; a free monthly newsletter, the Art Law Blast; and professional events such as panel discussions, educational workshops, and documentary screenings. Today a recognized asset to the art law sphere by institutions and professionals around the world, the Center for Art Law has become a centralized resource for art and cultural heritage law. Since September 2019, the Center for Art Law is inviting art and law connoisseurs to become Members and to gain unlimited access to over 1,000 articles––and to the Case Law Corner, the Center’s summaries of recent US and international art law cases.
