About

Launched in July 2016, TIAMSA – The International Art Market Studies Association is a rapidly growing association with currently more than 400 members (May 2021) from countries worldwide. Our membership base is made up of individual members (collectors, art world professionals, scholars and students from a wide range of disciplines), as well as corporate members, institutional members, association members and donors.

TIAMSA encourages the study of art markets of all regions and periods and provides an infrastructure which supports both research and networking among art market professionals and scholars. Read our Mission Statement to see the rationale behind our association, subscribe to our free blog to receive regular news on relevant activities, join one of the several regional or thematic TIAMSA Groups or the TIAMSA Conference to meet our community – and become a member if you want to support our quest and enjoy benefits such as exclusive attendance of special events, conference and publishers’ discounts, or access to the “Members only” area of our website.

Founding members:
Lynn Catterson, Alan Crookham, Frances Fowle, Antoinette Friedenthal, Jeremy Howard, Christian Huemer, Veronika Korbei, Johannes Nathan, Barbara Pezzini, Inge Reist, Catherine Scallen, Jonathan Woolfson
