Launched in July 2016, TIAMSA – The International Art Market Studies Association is a rapidly growing association with currently 140 members (1 January 2017) from 15 countries, among them art market professionals, scholars from a wide range of disciplines (art history, economics, history, law, sociology), students and institutional members such as the Getty Research Institute (Los Angeles) or the Centre allemand d’histoire de l’art (Paris).
TIAMSA encourages the study of art markets of all regions and periods and provides an infrastructure which supports both research and networking among art market professionals and scholars. Read our Mission Statement to see the rationale behind our association, subscribe to our free blog to receive regular news on relevant activities, meet our Board and Founding Members – and do join us if you want to support our quest and enjoy members’ benefits such as exclusive attendance of special events, conference and publishers’ discounts, or access to the “Members only” area of our website.
