ANN: Exhibition Walkthrough (In-Person) – “Americans in Paris: Artists Working in Postwar France, 1946–1962”

Dear TIAMSA Members,

You are cordially invited to join Lynn Gumpert, the curator behind the captivating exhibition “Americans in Paris: Artists Working in Postwar France, 1946–1962,” hosted at the Grey Art Museum. Embark on an enlightening journey with us on April 18th, 2024, at 4:30 pm, as Lynn Gumpert leads a thought-provoking discussion and immersive walkthrough of this groundbreaking exhibition.

“Americans in Paris” is a celebration of the dynamic community of expatriate artists who thrived in post-World War II Paris, shedding light on their diverse artistic contributions that often remain overshadowed by the bustling New York art scene. Through their bold experimentation and rich cultural exchanges, these artists reshaped the landscape of American art, leaving an indelible mark on the evolution of postwar artistic expression.

Véronique Chagnon-Burke, TIAMSA Co-Chair would be representing on behalf of TIAMSA at the walkthrough and we are doing this event with the SHC, following our collaboration at CAA.
Seating is limited to accommodate 25 individuals. To reserve your spot and further assistance, kindly reach out to us via email at masoom.pincha@artmarketstudies.org.
