TIAMSA is happy to announce that our co-chair Johannes Nathan has recently been elected president of the Max-Liebermann-Gesellschaft Berlin (MLG). Founded in 1995 on the initiative of a handful of visionary individuals, the MLG restored the villa built for the painter Max Liebermann (1847-1935) in Berlin-Wannsee and opened it as a museum in 2006. It has since attracted c. 80.000 visitors annually and is also establishing itself as a center of research on Max Liebermann, one of the foremost figures of German art of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
